  1. As a Cleveland Indians fan, I'm proud of and thrilled for Charlie Manuel.

I'd love to see the Angels come back and beat the Yankees and then win it all.. they've had a tough season and it would be a great story.

Otherwise I'm hoping for back-to-back for the Phillies, cause any good Indians fan must hate them Damn Yankees!!

  2. Hi Sol:
I hope the Phillies can pull it off for a back-to-back World Series Championship. I'm not an expert on baseball, but the Angels may be an easier team to beat than the Yankees.

We're in NJ and we had second thoughts about going over to see my Dad in South Philly tonight just in case the Phillies won the game. He doesn't live too far from Broad Street and that's where all the "celebrations" will be taking place. Glad we decided to visit him tomorrow night.

  3. My knowledge of this year is limited, but I believe you're correct about the Yankees. They have bought the best team money can buy, plain and simple.

The Angels lost one of their young new pitchers in a horrific car accident at the beginning of the year, so they would be the sentimental favorite. The kid was a great person and a talent, but a drunk driver got him. Very sad.

But... they're down 3-1 and NY is hot right now. It doesn't look too good.

Glad for you that you waited.. I'll bet it's been crazy there tonight.

  4. That's sad about the Angel's pitcher. Miracles can happen...maybe they'll pull it off.

As for South Philly...we were there week or so ago when they won and people were lining the streets and blowing the horns just for that. It will be party time tonight!

  5. NOOOOOOOO!

From a former rabid Dodger fan.

I don't follow baseball nowadays, so OK, congrats!

I'm not a rabid baseball fan either. I like to see a local team do well (whether I'm in NJ or FL).
