2009 Atlantic City Airshow

As a break from politics, I thought I'd share some photos from our day at the 2009 Atlantic City "Thunder Over The Boardwalk" Airshow that took place yesterday (Aug 19). This is our 4th trip to the AC Airshow and we've never been disappointed. One of the best shows we saw was several years ago when the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels both appeared...which very rarely if ever, happens.

It was a hot, but beautiful day and a dip in the Atlantic helped cool us off. The boats you see anchored off shore had a great view too. According to the AC newspaper, there was an estimated 750,000 people attending and you'll see many of them lined up along the shoreline in some of the photos. I'm not sure there were that many people, but there sure were alot.

We stake out our spot right in front of the Atlantic City Convention Center where all of the action takes place. Our good friends, El & Mack, are our hosts for the day and after the show treat us to a wonderful homemade meal.

When we see our great military in action, we can appreciate how truly blessed we are to have these great people protecting our us and our country.
