Behold the Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America. A Harvard graduate and the "messiah", to boot. This is the man who historian, Mike Beschloss, told Don Imus, "...that President-elect Obama’s IQ is off the charts and that he is the smartest president we have ever had". Of course, after making that statement, Mr. Beschloss could not tell Imus what Obama's IQ really was, but that's beside the point.
The point is...does Barack Obama really NOT know how to pronounce the word "corpsman". Is that even possible? One time, maybe he could get it wrong...you know it's hard reading that teleprompter while moving your head back and forth like a bobble head while trying to pronounce words correctly. But multiple times? Could it be that TOTUS needed to spell it out phonetically? I would hate to think that President Obama mispronounced the word on purpose??? This is embarrassing. I'm sure heads were rolling after this blunder. His handler should have prepped him better.
I found this link where Obama (or TOTUS) can find out how to pronounce words correctly. Not only will it help him when he needs to speak about our military, but it will really help when Obama lapses into that "Negro dialect" that Harry Reid said Obama can turn on and off at will.
I sure hope he appreciates this...
From your post...
ReplyDelete"I'm sure heads were rolling after this blunder."
Really, TCL... jokes about rolling heads?? when he's talking about corpses instead of "c-o-r-z-m-a-n" (phonetically, of course).
You're killin' me here... ROTFLMAO!!!
I wonder what Dan Quayle has to say about this one...
I am inclined to cut the guy some slack. Remember, Bush could never pronounce 'nuclear,' and persisted in saying 'noo-kyoo-ler.'
ReplyDeleteLOL... I'm from the south so I just say "mater"
ReplyDeleteMy son will just be thrilled to know he was a "corpse man"
Sol:
ReplyDeleteObama can call in some of the corpse-men to pick up the heads.
Fredd:
ReplyDeleteYou are much more forgiving than me.
I will cut no slack. These guys have mercilessly attacked George Bush, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Tea Party protesters, town hall participants...and the list goes on and on. They've ridiculed them, mocked them, lied about them and basically tried to destroy them. Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" states:
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."
As far as I'm concerned...what's good for the "progressive" goose, is good for the "conservative" gander.
We have to start playing by their rules and give them a taste of their own medicine.
Momma Bear:
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Please give my thanks to your son for his service to our country...even if he is a "corpse man", ha, ha.
I'm in the Navy and have yet to meet one of those. Is this some kind of Black government project? Reminds me of Frankenstein.
ReplyDeleteTrestin:
ReplyDeleteYou got me there.
I have a feeling that Obama has so little interest in the military, that he has never taken the time to find out anything about who is who or what is what. But the pronunciation of the word "corpsman" should not have been difficult. You don't hear him calling one of his pet projects "AmeriCorpse".
"You don't hear him calling one of his pet projects "AmeriCorpse"."
ReplyDeleteThat's true, TCL - but by the time he's finished with us, we might be "America Corpse."
Cutting Obama slack: after reading your return comment, I agree that you are right, and I hereby retract the slack I cut Obama.
ReplyDeleteThe left has indeed pillaried any conservative feaux paus time and again, and if we continue to turn the other cheek, the pattern will be set in the public forum: 'conservatives are morons, and liberals are brilliant.'
Obama has several goofs like this one, to include the 57 state comment. Mispelling potato killed Dan Quayle politically, 'mocacca' (whatever that means) doomed George Allen in VA, yet Obama rolls on and on and on...
Give him a break. The teleprompter doesn't have a pronounciation guide.
ReplyDeleteBilly Long is wrong: Find
out why Billy Long is the wrong
answer for Missouri's Seventh Congressional District.
Sol:
ReplyDeleteAin't that the truth!
Fredd:
ReplyDeleteI thought you might rethink your stance on it after you were reminded about how the Left works.
The Left doesn't even wait for a faux pas...they LIE if there is no faux pas available to criticize. And they are great at it.
Bill:
ReplyDeleteWell I hope the link I provided will help TOTUS get it right the next time.
I'll check out the link you provided.
Obama = tool
ReplyDeleteMaybe he can say "FUBAR."
Maybe Obama's so smart that he's stupid? His IQ may be high, but he sure is the dumbest president in our history.
ReplyDeleteTeleprompter-in-Chief.
Josh:
ReplyDeleteI don't know if he can say FUBAR, but he sure knows how to do it to our country. F'd up beyond recognition.
Teresa:
ReplyDeleteObama shows no "common sense". Unfortunately, I don't think that his actions are done because he has no common sense. I think the plan he is trying to accomplish is the progressive plan and everything he does is with that in mind. He doesn't give a damn about what we think or what the effect is on the country, as long as his agenda is accomplished. This is why it is imperative that we, at least, get the Congress back in 2010.
Ahhhhhh, BoBo the brilliant!
ReplyDeleteCracks me up when he does that "head thing", what's up there, anyway?
Hi Carol:
ReplyDeleteNow which "head thing" are you talking about? The back and forth "I'm reading TOTUS because I can't speak without it" head thing...or the "my nose is up in the air because I'm better than you" head thing?
