Doctor Carson's Obama-Spanking Prescription for America

Dr. Benjamin Carson, a world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital, certainly didn't think having Mr. Obama in the audience at today's National Prayer Breakfast was a time to mince words.  If you don't have much time, you can go the The Blaze article and read more about it and see a few clips.  I found that the clips were cut too short to appreciate the Dr. Carson's entire message, so I have posted the entire speech below.

In the beginning, Dr. Carson is introduced and he speaks about political correctness and how damaging it is.  It was obviously a speech that he knew Mr. Obama was not going to appreciate.  But the best part comes beginning at minute 16:24, where Dr. Carson speaks about the fall of Rome and then hits on taxation, followed by the national debt, the deficit, and health care.  Dr. Carson wore his paddle out spanking the Obama policies one by one.

I couldn't help but watch Mr. Obama as he listened to Dr. Carson's speech.  At one point, during the health care portion, he looks down and seems to be fiddling with something and not paying any attention at all.  (Maybe he was looking down in shame...ha, ha, ha, no way.)  Most of the time he sat there with his nose in the air, listening (probably gritting his teeth).  At some points it looks like he's falling asleep, with his eyes closing (maybe another late Wednesday night WH cocktail party).

Take a few minutes and watch for yourself.  If you can't watch the entire 26 minute speech, I'd advise going to minute 16:24 and playing it from there.  Good idea to make it full screen, to get the full effect.  You may find yourself smiling.  Oh, and if you get a chance, check out the comment section of the article...there are some amusing ones.

Video via The Blaze:

  • Dr. Benjamin Carson delivered a noteworthy National Prayer Breakfast keynote speech in President Barack Obama’s presence
  • Carson attacked political correctness as a “dangerous” threat to free speech and encouraged Americans to boldly share their views
  • The pediatric neurosurgeon also provided his theories about the national debt, deficits, taxation and health care, taking stances that were opposed to the president’s
  • Obama watched intently as Carson spoke for more than 25 minutes

  2. Brave man. He has to know that leftists attack people they feel they "own" in certain groups the most viciously when they stray from the leftist narrative. God Bless him for speaking truth to power.

    1. That's very true. It did take a lot of courage to stand up there and say what he truly believes, while Mr. Obama sat just a few feet away. What an inspiration to us all.

  3. I have been aware of Dr. Ben Carson's courage for years. It's good to know that some things never change. I had been working on a post about this since yesterday for my own nlog, but yours is so well written, I may just refer everyone to you. Thank you for posting this.

    1. I hope you did the post anyway, so that as many people can see this brave individual who isn't afraid to speak the truth without intimidation. Thank you for stopping by, and if you did redirect your readers, thank you for that, too.

    2. I did. I decided that your post was the official one, and that I could still contribute to the blogosphere by including my personal take on this great man whose courage has been legendary for many years. It helped me to feel not quite so stupid for criticizing the Obama regime, and then being audited.

  5. obama looked the most pissed at the story of our flag and anthem - enough said.

I wish someone would point out how trial lawyers have been for decades and are suing our healthcare system to ruin. That is the real problem.

    1. You bet he was po'd. Dr. Carson got applause throughout his speech, so that couldn't have made Mr. Obama very happy either. I loved it.

  7. Barry will just make a note, and add Dr. Carson to his enemies list.

And that list could probably fill an iPad hard drive to overflow. Remember Richard Nixon had his infamous 'enemie's list' that contained only twenty people. Barry makes Tricky Dick look like a piker, in comparision.

    (Note: Nixon's enemy list below)

    2.Alexander Barkan

  9. I love the way Dr. Carson attacked political correctness. His speech was so pro-America that Obama was probably cringing as he listened. If he was listening. Dr. Carson gave some great ideas on how to fix the health care system, education, etc.

    1. You have that right, Teresa. He's getting a lot of press and a lot of questions about going into politics. Whether he decides to do that or not, he sure is a great spokesman for conservatism. I hope FNC hires him if he decides to stay out of the political arena.
