Paradise Courtesy of the USA

What a way to start the new year...

The First Family is in the process of taking their Christmas vacation in Hawaii at the expense of the tax payers in the amount of $4 million, when many in our country can't even find a job and more than 40 million people are on food stamps.  Then the president flew back to DC in order to give a victory speech in front of a bunch of butt-kissing, bused-in "every day middle class" Americans, with the expectations that he beat the GOP at the "fiscal cliff" game.  And then, to rub more salt in the wound of American empty pocketbooks, the president flew back to Hawaii to join his family to finish the vacation at an additional cost of  $3 million to taxpayers.

I don't begrudge Mr. Obama and his family taking a vacation, but when our country is in such bad financial shape, I would have hoped Mr. Obama would think twice before blowing $7 Million of the citizen's money on a trip to paradise, while leaving the citizens in hell.

  1. It's all so disheartening, isn't it?

  2. It certainly is. What else is disheartening is the fact that Mr. Obama is not at all interested in solving the spending problem in America. I really think the GOP is dreaming if they think he is going to anything substantial that will make a difference.
Hope you have a Happy New Year despite our president.

  3. It would be so much better if he just had a ranch in Texas and took vacation there wouldn't it?

  4. Lady: Just watch for brazen abuse of the U.S. Treasury checkbook by Obama in his second term. This little episode will probably pale in comparison to Moochelle and Barry living large on the taxpayer dime.

    1. You're probably right. He doesn't have any intention of making spending cuts.

  5. What really blows my mind is the worship most of the media bestows on this guy!

    1. That's a given now, especially after the first 4 years. In te next 4 years, they have to validate that they were right about him, so they will never go against him or his agenda. Finally, the MSM really believes he is doing the right thing because most of them are of the same ilk...socialist/communist taught in college.
The question is, how do conservatives deal with this? I really believe that it starts with our children and somehow changing the progressive curriculum that schools use to teach them. It's been going on for many, many years and this will be a monumental job.
