Update - New Video & Links: Is Agenda 21 in Your Local Community?

A reason to keep us uneducated?...Hmmm...more about this in the first video below,
Agenda 21 For Dummies.

On June 20-22, 2012, the United Nations will hold it's RIO+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Brazil.  What is this conference all about?  Here's what the website says:
At the Rio+20 Conference, world leaders, along with thousands of participants from governments, the private sector, NGOs and other groups, will come together to shape how we can reduce poverty, advance social equity and ensure environmental protection on an ever more crowded planet to get to the future we want.
Visit the website:  RIO+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development

At the RIO+20 website, they have a page where people can leave a message.  It's worth a stop over there to take a peek at some of the comments.  These caught my eye:
The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands.
And then there's this one:
Destruction, you are no longer welcome here. The life on Earth, screams.
Oy vey...

Did you know that the United States is involved in Sustainable Development?  It's also known as Agenda 21.
Sustainable development was endorsed by the United States in 1992, when President George H.W. Bush signed Agenda 21 at the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development. Sustainable Development came to the United States in 1993 when President Bill Clinton issued Executive Order 12852 which created the President's Council on Sustainable Development.
The Heritage Foundation explains:
Agenda 21 is a voluntary plan adopted at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. It calls on governments to intervene and regulate nearly every potential impact that human activity could have on the environment. The end goal? Getting governments to “rethink economic development and find ways to halt the destruction of irreplaceable natural resources and pollution of the planet.”
I've found 3 videos that will help explain Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development.  It's something that is going on right under our noses and is perpetrated by our local authorities, some who may not even realize what it actually is all about...handing our freedoms over to the rest of the world.  Later in this post, there's a link where you can find out if your community is involved in Agenda 21.

The first video, Agenda 21 for Dummies was produced in 2009 and gives a explanation of Agenda 21 that's easy to understand.  The second video, Agenda 21 for Public Officials was produced in November 2011 and talks about how Agenda 21 affects property ownership and how it works in our communities.  It also recommends 8 steps for public officials to protect citizen's property rights.  The third is Glenn Beck's video explaining Agenda 21 and tying it to some of the well known Progressives we all know and love dislike...can you say George Soros and Van Jones?

AGENDA 21 - There are people that want to transform America and put our problems into the hands of the rest of the world. The best thing we can do is link arms together, neighbor to neighbor and reach out to our houses of worship and community centers and take care of each other like God and the Founders intended us to. But a growing number of people are latching on to the idea of globalism...groundwork is being laid right now for government control on a global level. These people have mastered the art of hiding it in plain sight and then just dismissing it as a joke...such is the case with Agenda 21. What is Agenda 21? Find out on this video. 6-15-11

Keep your eyes and ears open in your community and see if you recognize initiatives for sustainable development popping up in your area.  I hear it on TV commercials occasionally and am becoming more aware of it all of the time.

Here's an example I saw earlier this month in a Delaware rest stop (my cell phone camera comes in handy sometimes).

I didn't realize I'd be "participating in sustainability" that day!

Are you wondering if your county is involved in Agenda 21?  At the ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) website, there is a list of the Global Members.  Go here and scroll down to the United States to see if your county is on the list.  Guess what...my county in FL is listed.  You can also go to this page to check out what's going on around the entire country in regard to Sustainable Development and Agenda 21.

We must also be aware that our kids are being taught about Sustainable Development in the hopes that they will be the ones who will accomplish the goals in their communities and globally.  Below are links to two of the websites encouraging the indoctrination of our children:

VisionThe vision of the Youth Action Team (YAT) of the U.S. Partnership is a generation of American youth who have the support, capacity, and vision to lead sweeping societal shifts toward a healthy, just, and sustainable future.
Even NASCAR is getting into the act...(although my take on this is that NASCAR is doing it to keep the government off of their back.)

I will leave you with the words of Henry Lamb from Renew America:
There is no doubt that sustainable development in the United States is a concept that arose from the United Nations with the clear purpose of managing societies around the world to achieve environmental protection, equal economic opportunity, and social equity. The United States was founded on the principles of limited government, individual freedom, reward for individual achievement, and free markets that produce maximum prosperity. Government is imposing sustainable development and its inevitable government management. Only an informed, involved, and determined people can stop and reverse this erosion of freedom.

  1. It is all over my area. There are reasons for it here. We are very densely populated here, so there is no where else to go but up. You have been here enough to have seen all the construction here. It never ends. As soon as one project finishes three more have started. But virtually every little hamlet has a "town center". Which are condos (priced that most people can't afford them, some retail spaces, some sort of mass transit center, (either bus transfer station or metro), and then some sort of park area.

I have no problem with them in general. Some people like the idea of not really needing a car much and like having most things within walking distance. I personally don't like living that way. It took us forever to find our house because I wanted a yard, not some postage stamp that most people have here. We ended up getting a house that is much bigger than we wanted because you can't get property here with a small house on it. They just don't exist.

    1. I know what it's like living in the city. I spent my first 30 years living in South Philadelphia in a row home. The bus, the trolley and the subway were my modes of transportation most of the time. Parking spaces were like gold, and even worse now that people own more than one car. My Dad still lives there and we can't even park near his house for more than 2 hours without a sticker.

The difference is that I chose to live in the city, but Agenda 21 is going to force everyone to live in the city.

  2. What a GREAT post... Scared the PEEJEEEEEEZUS out of me, but certainly needed to be done...

I hate to sound contrite, but what JACG was saying above has VERY little to do with whether you have a large yard, but more importantly whether you can even own property PERIOD... These S.O.B.s want to control your very existance... Over my dead body... This is why at the TEA Party in Ft. Myers in March, Connie Mack shared his desire to get us out of the United Nations... We need to deprogram our children aka "home school" them so they aren't fed this garbage... We've got a hell of a lot of work to do, starting by getting the Marxist - N - Chief ou of office in NOvember... By no means will our work be done, but it's a start...

    1. I remember Connie Mack saying that in his speech...and I was happy to hear it. The problem is that Obama isn't the only one who wants this...it all began with George H.W. Bush. Many of our leaders are intent on signing America's liberty over to the global community(think Law of the Sea Treaty), and we have got to elect new ones that will stop the madness.

  3. TCL, Well, you know what happens when some slimeballs try to put their filthy mitts on the silent Majority of American citizenry.. Dunno worry.

  4. The lazy in this world are coming for what you have, and they are encouraged by those in this country who feel guilty.

  5. Most people will think treehuggers are behind this, but it is the super-duper rich like Ted Turner, George Soros, and those running the upper echelons of the United Nations. The United Nations have long been portrayed in conservative media as naive do-gooders, but they are coming out now as the real enemies of the republic. Recall that Leon Panetta said in March that they ask for "international permission" when going into counties militarily and not Congress. Where was the Heritage foundation in 1992 when this was all being cooked up?

Agenda 21 really does have the potential to be the issue that unites America. Liberal Rosa Koire has done a definitive work called Behind the Green Mask that exposes Agenda 21. She has been derided by liberals for championing a "tea party" issue. But she always replies that this is an AMERICAN issue.

If you really want to be freaked, google Lucis Trust and the Club of Rome.

    1. Can I really get more "freaked" than I am already, ha, ha (I will check it out, thanks).

It's appalling how people who call themselves "Americans" want to hand our sovereignty over to the UN.

    2. I checked out the USACOR which is the American version of Club of Rome and came across a page where they were honoring former NJ Governor Christine Whitman, former Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and current Director of the Council on Foreign Relations. Here's the link: http://usacor.org/news/index.html. You can check out the whole website from there.

  6. I've heard many people say: When the voting booth does not work anymore, it is time for revolution. When treaties can supersede the Constitution, and we have Democrat White House to sign it, and a Democrat majority Senate to ratify it, how close are we?

    1. ...how close are we?

Good question. I don't think we're at the point where the voting booth doesn't work anymore. November will be the test.

  7. I also agree that these globalists have to hide their true agenda, otherwise most of the haves on the globe would catch wind of these guys grabbing their stuff and giving it to the have nots.

Gheghis Khan was also a globalist. He never had to hide his intent on bringing the globe together - under his control. And nobody had to guess about his agenda. Nobody at all.

    1. Fortunately, people are starting to become aware of Agenda 21 and beginning to fight against it. Here's a link I found that I'm going to add to the post: http://www.fightingagenda21.com/
