Senator Marco Rubio's Speech at The Reagan Library and the Q&A

Senator Marco Rubio speech at The Reagan Library on August 23, 2011.

Q & A after the speech.

When asked about the Vice-Presidency Rubio said, “I love being in the U.S. Senate,.  I’m not going to be the vice presidential nominee.”

  1. Thanks for posting this Lady. I wasn't able to attend myself.

  2. Odie:
You're welcome. I think he did a great job.

  3. He did a fantastic job. He loves America - that rings true in his words. God Bless him. Thanks for posting this TCL.

He also made a nice save when Nancy Reagan slipped, started to fall to the ground and he caught her before she fell.

  4. There are a few politicians left who seem to get it....The rest? Corrupted by power.

  5. Angel:
He sure is and I am very happy that he is my Senator.

  6. Teresa:
I saw that video of him catching Nancy Reagan when she fell. She looks so frail.

  7. Euripides:
So true. I certainly hope that Senator Rubio remains true to his convictions and doesn't let DC destroy him. It's too bad when newly elected people go to Washington with a heartfelt desire to do the right thing and once they get there, the elitists who have been around for 30-40 years begin to manipulate them.

  8. It is good info about Rubio, CL.

We like Marco Rubio. It has all the qualities of a Reagan - photogenic, charisma, communicator, and an uncanny smoothness to put his point across without harassing his opponent.

It is also essential that we drop the percentage of the Hispanic voters from 67% Democratic to at least 55% in order to win. Only Marco Rubio can do that. Republicans are clumsy, to say the least, when it come to dealing with the Latino voters.

A good many reasons to have Rubio as a possible vice-president.
