Obama Appoints Head of SEIU to Debt Commission

President Obama appointed Andy Stern, head of SEIU, to be a member of his debt commission.  The co-chairmen of the commission are former Clinton White House Chief of Staff, Erskine Bowles, and former Republican Senator, Alan Simpson.   According to the Wall Street Journal:

The commission's job will be to help bring down the federal budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product by 2015, compared with nearly 10% today, and to propose ways to hold down the surging costs of government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. The president will also ask the panel to look at the U.S. tax code and has not ruled out tax increases for the middle class should the commission deem them necessary.

This is a job Congress is supposed to be doing.   The commission is just a way to take the onus of making difficult decisions off of Obama and the Dems in Congress and blame it on an advisory commission.

Listen to Mr. Stern in the video below.  Mr. Stern talks about the formation of global government, redistribution of wealth and Obama's plans for a new American economy led by government.  Scary stuff.  But Mr. Stern is telling the truth and laying it all out there for us to see.

  1. Andy Stern has no business being on this debt commission. Leaving Andy Stern to reduce our debt is like leaving a pedophile to keep watch over a pre-school class. This is one backwards administration.

Appointing Andy Stern to the commission tells alot about where Obama's allegience is focused and how serious he is about controlling the deficit.
