UPDATE: Ms. Napolitano's Clock Is Running A Little Slow

UPDATE 12/29Now Janet Napolitano says... "The System Didn't Work"

Nothing like covering all of the bases, Janet!

Original post:

Janet Napolitano, Head of Homeland Security, thinks everything went like clockwork AFTER the attempted bombing of Northwest 253.  What about before this terrorist, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, ever entered the airplane?   His father contacted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria with concerns that his son was planning something.  His name was in a national data base. Why wasn't this terrorist being watched? Why was he allowed on an airplane headed to the United States?  What kind of airport security check did he go through?  Oh, I forgot, he hid the explosives in his underwear.

I would think Ms. Napolitano would be more concerned about how everything DID NOT work like clockwork BEFORE the terrorist entered the airplane. I suppose she is too busy watching us right-wing extremist teabaggers to be concerned with "man-made disaster makers" of the Muslim persuasion.  No profiling allowed.

Have no fear my friends. Ms. Napolitano is now going to make sure you are safe when flying by imposing new regulations that will, unfortunately, make you a bit uncomfortable on the last hour or so of your flight. But hey, not to worry Mr. Terrorist...now that you know the new rules, you'll be sure the bomb is ready to blow before that time rolls around.

This year, domestic terror plots peaked. There have been 32 terror-related “events” on US shores since 9/11, and 12 of those occurred in 2009.
This week, on Christmas Day only a failed detonator saved the passengers on Northwest flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit.
Today, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told Jake Tapper on “This Week” that “everything went according to clockwork” in how passengers, crew and the government reacted to the attempted bombing of Flight 253.

(CNN) -- The father of a man suspected in a botched terror attack aboard a Northwest Airlines flight contacted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria recently with concerns his son was planning something, a senior U.S. administration official said Saturday.
The father -- identified by a family source as Umaru Abdul Mutallab -- contacted the U.S. Embassy "a few weeks ago" saying his son, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, had "become radicalized," the senior administration official, who is familiar with the case, told CNN. Read more...

  1. All I can say is that I am extremely happy that I do not have to fly any time soon.

Scary. The people in charge AND the people that want to kill us.

The one job our Federal government is responsible for doing is keeping us safe. This administration is more interested in running our lives than in doing the one job it is tasked with...protecting our country and us. Their actions show it every day, from renaming terrorism to bringing terrorists to our shores for civilian trials.
We have incompetents running the show. Thank God the people on that plane took care of business.

Which is intersting because he was on a UK stop and watch list for applying for further study at a bogus "university". Seems UK did not get around to telling you.

Our politicians have also issued official lies saying that everthing went well despite the obvious fact that the only thing that stopped a disaster was the perps ineptness. Mind you, that is standard practise these days, they take us for fools.

The government has a tendency to blame everybody else but themselves. Obama had better start to take terrorism seriously. His administration has felt compelled to changed the word terrorism to "man-caused disaster"...that should tell you something about the mentality and ineptness of Obama and the people running Homeland Security. I'm not feeling very secure these days. Political correctness is going to ruin our country.
