The combination of ObamaCare and the "proposed" Gang of 8 Amnesty Bill is going to be bad medicine for American workers. This video is worth watching if you want to understand what's in store for us with the combination of these two bills, should it ever become reality.
Mr. Obama is focusing on immigration reform now that he's successfully ruined our health care system. Ted Cruz gives a very clear explanation of what the consequences will be if the Gang of 8's Amnesty Bill makes it to Obama's desk:
In short, NumbersUSA explains:
Under ObamaCare, companies with 50 or more employees must provide all low-wage workers with a sufficient health insurance policy. If the company fails to do so, it faces a $3,000 fine per worker that's not tax deductible, so that actual penalty could be as much as $5,000 per employee when you consider the tax consequences.
As Sen. Cruz pointed out yesterday, S.744 grants legal status and work permits to most of the 11 million illegal aliens currently living in the United States. But the bill also exempts them from ObamaCare, so if an American company with at least 50 employees has a job opening for a low-skilled worker, the company would actually benefit financially by hiring the amnestied illegal alien over a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident who also wants the job.
In the video, Senator Cruz gives several scenarios of what could happen when a small company is confronted with complying with these bills. It's scary to think that Americans may lose jobs to illegals given amnesty by our government.
Most businesses will do what's best for their bottom line, especially if they are struggling to stay open. If hiring illegals who have been given amnesty will keep them running, it's a no-brainer.
According to this article, the House is "balking" at a broad immigration bill. Does anyone trust either the Senate or the House to do the right thing? I sure don't.
Imagine how many low information voters are just getting a taste of what ObamaCare is going to do to them. Chances are they have no idea what's in store for America if/when "immigration reform" comes to town.
