Bye-Bye Boehner?

Are some House Republicans planning to remove John Boehner from his position as Speaker of the House?  According to Breitbart, that is a distinct possibility:

HOUSE REPUBLICANS CIRCULATE PLAN TO OUST BOEHNER FROM SPEAKERSHIP
Several conservative House Republican members are contemplating a plan to unseat Speaker John Boehner from his position on January 3, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. Staffers have compiled a detailed action plan that, if executed, could make this a reality.
The Republicans, both conservatives and more establishment members alike, are emboldened after the failure of Boehner’s fiscal cliff “Plan B” on Thursday evening. Dissatisfaction with Boehner is growing in the House Republican conference, but until now there hasn’t been a clear path forward.
Those members and staffers requested anonymity from Breitbart News at this time to prevent retaliation from Boehner similar to what happened to those four members who were purged from their powerful committee assignments a few weeks ago. Their expressed concern is that if Boehner knew who they were, his adverse reaction toward them would be much more brutal than losing committee assignments, such as a primary challenge in 2014 by a leadership-sponsored candidate.  Read more...
Those planning this want to do it by secret ballot so that if they aren't successful, Boehner can't retaliate against them.  The article also explains how there is very little chance that Nancy Pelosi could somehow become Speaker of the House again (heaven forbid).

If this article is true, there has been a lot of thought put into it.  Speaker Boehner better watch his back.

  1. So, while we taxpayers/business people are in a total quandry about tax planning, Obama and all the other idiots in Washington head home for the holidays. The market only dropped 121 points today, more sure to follow. It only costs a few million for Obama to jet off to Hawaii today, returning Wednesday, and I´m sure going back to Hawaii a few days later. Hey, it´s all free! It´s great to be King.
You think you are getting screwed now? KEEP COUNT on vacations, and their the cost and the Wookie outings too. She has a nasty habit of demanding and GETTING her own airplane again on our dime

Note to ALL you brainless Libs who voted for this cretin, I Hope you choke on some bad tofu

    1. Agreed. I really think Obama wants to "go over the cliff". It's a perfect deal. He gets his tax hikes, he gets his cuts on defense and he can turn around and blame the GOP for going over the cliff. Then, just to make things fair, he'll cut taxes for the middle class and become the big hero.

  2. John Boehner is just another proof that those who most desire power are least qualified to have it.

  3. He turned into a spineless power corrupted RINO! Right now the Dems have three houses, and it's time to take ours back.

  4. Lady:

It's about time. I think that dumb ol' Fredd is the only one who remembers that John Boehner was the majority whip (a leadership position) during the Mark Foley debacle, the one in which Speaker Denny Hastert watched the Republican majority in congress slip away with a whimper during the 2006 off year elections.

We have needed a change in thinking at least since 2007, when John Boehner was the minority leader, and bucked Tea Party momentum wherever he could get away with it, and insisted we go back to the good old ways of Nelson Rockerfeller and Bob Dole. In doing so, he just recently removed any and all Tea Party GOP congressmen and women from important committees if they didn't vote like a Nelson Rockefeller. You know, compromise each and every principle we hold dear so that the public thinks we are getting something done when in fact we are sliding towards despotism and despair.

Boehner's departure is LONG, LOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGG over due.

In parting, I have just one word to sum up John Boehner's tenue in the GOP Leadership: Boooooo!

(is that a word? If not, it should be).

  5. I second Odie's comment. Boehner is a spineless jellyfish. His RINO colors shined through his conservative fakery.

    1. Let's hope, that if this plan does work, the next guy won't be a "lip-service master". If they are going to go through all of this work to get Boehner, you would think they would be a little more careful on who they do elect to take his place.

  7. The “Balls” on this president is unlike any we have seen before. He is one ruthless and determined socialist who is to hell bound change this country and, unfortunately he is succeeding. We are experiencing the perfect storm here. We have a president who is a rabid progressive ideologue, we have a media who not only agrees with his policies, but protects him, kisses up to him and will never be honest and or balanced enough to report both sides of a story. Not to take it a step further, they go out on a limb to cover-up his dirty work, never reporting anything said or proved by the opposition party. What we need is a party with core principles like Reagańs that can effectively articulate those policies, a party with a backbone of steel who will not back down and speak up with a strong voice. The power struggle within the Republican Party must stop. If we are to save this country, we must act like we want to. The Republicans must come back after the Christmas vacation united and go on the offense. We have nothing to lose and quite possibly everything to gain. As for Obama and the democracies humiliating the republicans, this was expected, this has been their way of doing business as long as I can remember. Unfortunately us Republicans don’t know how to play that game, and we back down to fast and too often. Obviously, that’s no way to fight against the left. The only way they know how to fight is the dirty way, and to play the blame game, and ridicule their opposition .Boehner can not negotiate with this treasonous monster in the White House or with any of these lefty scoundrels. We have to fight Fire with Fire. Never wrestle with a pig, if you do, yoúre gonna wind up stinking like a pig.. But the pig is used to it!

That is exactly right. We must take a page out of their playbook and give them a taste of their own medicine. How about the GOP take a few pointers from "Rules for Radicals" and use them against the Left?

  8. By the way, Where is Hillary?
The last time we or anyone had heard from her was when the State Department officials notified the press that Madam Hillary Clinton, Queen of Fairy-tales had fallen ill. And while suffering from a terrible tummy ache, Madam Secretary became dehydrated and fainted, and thus suffered from a “concussion". And if you believe that then I have a story to tell you about the Moon being made of Cheese. Since then, Madam Hillary has not been sighted anywhere And to add to that mystery, last week Madam Hillary even missed the State Department’s Christmas party, where food was in abundance. Now think of this, for Madam Hillary to miss an abundance of free food... well that would be a first in a life time event. Anyway, Mrs. Obama, was wearing a sleeveless purple dress that showed her bulging biceps .

And looked lovely, (well for here she did) and you were able to hear her voice above others reminding all the party-goers NOT to forget to eat lots of vegetables, and fruits and that a healthy dose of veggies, piles of skinny roasted green beans and trays of steamed carrots and more green beans, also steamed, a salad of baby greens, complete with pomegranate seeds, a large verity of all kinds and shapes of tofu, itty bitty roasted potatoes purple, yellow, white and red ones. And that they came came from the White House garden.

She also suggested that everyone should try to avoid eating to much of the desserts during the holidays, But how could anyone resist the abundance of holiday decorated cookies, coconut custard layer cake. cherry cobbler, apple tarts, gingerbread, pumpkin pie, apple pie and lemon torte, sugar cookies, and a beautifully decorated gingerbread house!
