Eric Holder Keeps the Muffin Man "Rollin' in the Dough"

 Graphic via halonialator

Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX2) sings "The Muffin Man" (sorta) while addressing the Department of Justice's abuse of taxpayer money on refreshments...including $16 muffins. The planners spent $4,200 on 250 muffins and $2,880 on 300 cookies and brownies at their 2009 conference...not to mention almost $8 for a cup of coffee.

And the Dems think we need to keep on spending.

  1. Spending that much money on muffins is ridiculous. The wasteful government spending needs to stop.

  2. If this weren't so annoying and so likely to continue, it would be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in the news! Mr. Poe has a future in my book!

  3. Hi Deb:
It is annoying to know that the Federal Gov't has no thought to how they spend our tax dollars. It is funny, but Rep. Poe better keep his day job...a singer, he is not. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Our so-called elected public servants have such an attitude of entitlement! We have moved into being an oligarchy. **sigh**

That's right. Obama never targets wasteful spending like $16 muffins. It's always cut spending on something that he knows people will raise hell about, like teachers, fire fighters and police. This muffin case is just one small example of the waste and abuse going on. Now it's being reported that retired federal workers have been receiving checks after they die. No body is keeping track of stuff like this.
