UPDATE 7/9/11 - Operation Fast and Furious": Another Bad Decision By Holder?

Photo via The Daily Caller

Isn't it about time this guy gets a pink slip?

"...The subpoenaed documents could show who made the fateful decisions to allow assault weapons and military-grade sniper rifles to be “walked” into Mexico.
Issa says given the structure of the Justice Department, the decisions were likely made by top-ranking officials, potentially even Attorney General Eric Holder himself."

What we know about Project Gunrunner

House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa, California Republican is threatening to begin contempt proceedings if the Justice Department doesn’t start providing documents about the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furious. But what’s the controversy about? And what could the documents show?
In Project Gunrunner, ATF allowed American guns – including AK-47 assault rifles and military-grade, .50 caliber sniper rifles – to be smuggled into Mexico and sold to drug cartels, with the goal of tracking the weapons after they’ve been used.
Eric Holder has made some terrible (and disgusting) decisions over the past two years.  Examples...his willingness to bring the 9/11 terrorists to America for trial, his refusal to cooperate in the investigation of the Black Panther voter intimidation case, his forcing the Dayton Police Force to lower it's hiring standards, his prosecuting CIA agents, and now the smuggling of guns into Mexico.  I'm sure I've missed a few.

It's time for him to go...and maybe his assistant, too.

UPDATE 7/9/11:
"Operation Fast and Furious" is being investigated now and I've found a great post that covers many of the videos as it unfolds.  Check it out at Pronk Palisades Blog.

  1. TCL... I couldn't agree with you more... This man and his agency need to go sooner than later... What pea brain came up with the idea to arm the drug cartels? Have you ever seen the videos of just what can be done and from what range a 50 calibur sniper rifle can be used?

How about that finish last weekend?

  2. And we can't forget he and Pantload suing Arizona over them enforcing the laws Washington refused to.

Holder does not have the best interests of America at heart. Actions speak louder than words. Probably follows the teachings of Rev. Wright, just like Obama.
As for the race...the finish was exciting, for sure.

How the heck did I forget that??? Thanks for reminding me. If anyone else remembers something, please add it in a comment.

  5. I am in full agreement TCL. Holder has got to go! He has been an abysmal AG. He has failed in properly fulfilling his duties as AG.

I just heard a theory that this may have been done to bring on a gun crisis...the perfect thing to help Obama crack down on guns.

  7. I've always thought that Obama put him in this position so he could have someone to credibly blame if something went wrong. Leaders put people into positions under them that can replace them should they have too. Ask any prudent business manager, You can't move up, unless someone is there to replace you. People like Obama, however, put people in positions that are somewhat 'broken'. That way, if there's a major screw-up, then he can blame the person, and try to ellude the fact that he put them there in the first place. Bad management. Until then, people like Holder do the master's bidding because they know they're in over their head, but its the trade-off for being the eventual scapegoat. Why does Obama do this? Because he bases his successes not by what he stands for, but by where he stands.

  8. Sorry, had to add...Its why Obama always picks people with questionable histories or personalities. He needs soemone to blame to cover for his complete lack of leadership principles. Joe Biden as VP. Holder as AG. Napalotano (sp?) and Geitner. On and on. Its hard to blame people who are known for their strength of moral character and competance in situations.

Good point. We know these people are all doing exactly what Obama wants done. They are all on the same wavelength. Only thing is, Obama never gets rid of these people.

  10. He needs more than a pink slip.

Like a pink slip and forefiture of all benefits.

Regards other matters, there should be some sort of felony incompetence statues on the books relating to government officials.

Incompetency thrives in DC...the courts would be tied up for years.
