UPDATE: Muslim Brotherhood's Gen'l Strategic Goals for North America - Why We Should Fear the Muslim Brotherhood - The Two Websites of the Muslim Brotherhood

This logo is from the Muslim Brotherhood's Arabic website.  The writing under the sword comes from Surah 8 in the Quran and means:
“(8:60) Make ready for an encounter against them all the forces and well-readied horses you can muster that you may overawe the enemies of Allah and your own enemies and others besides them of whom you are unaware but of whom Allah is aware. Whatever you may spend in the cause of Allah shall be fully repaid to you, and you shall not be wronged.”

Andrew C. McCarthy states:

To this day, the Brotherhood’s motto remains, “Allah is our objective, the Prophet is our leader, the Koran is our law, Jihad is our way, and dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu akbar!”
That alone should make us all hope to God that the Muslim Brotherhood does not gain power as a result of the chaos in Egypt.

National Review Online article:

Fear the Muslim Brotherhood
by Andrew C. McCarthy

At the Daily Beast, Bruce Riedel has posted an essay called “Don’t fear Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood,” the classic, conventional-wisdom response to the crisis in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is just fine, he’d have you believe, no need to worry. After all, the Brothers have even renounced violence!

One might wonder how an organization can be thought to have renounced violence when it has inspired more jihadists than any other, and when its Palestinian branch, the Islamic Resistance Movement, is probably more familiar to you by the name Hamas — a terrorist organization committed by charter to the violent destruction of Israel. Indeed, in recent years, the Brotherhood (a.k.a., the Ikhwan) has enthusiastically praised jihad and even applauded — albeit in more muted tones — Osama bin Laden. None of that, though, is an obstacle for Mr. Riedel, a former CIA officer who is now a Brookings scholar and Obama administration national-security adviser. Following the template the progressive (and bipartisan) foreign-policy establishment has been sculpting for years, his “no worries” conclusion is woven from a laughably incomplete history of the Ikhwan.

The Muslim Brotherhood has an English website, but don't let it fool you.  I went there today before I found this article over at Breitbart's Big Peace:

Muslim Brotherhood Deception: They Say Different Things in English and Arabic

Posted by Christine Brim
Over the next few days, here are 2 websites to compare – the Muslim Brotherhood’s English language and Arabic websites.  First, the Muslim Brotherhood website in English – complete with the word “freedom” and a cute little girl, and no Islamic green in sight – here at http://www.ikhwanweb.com/:

AND NOW – the Arabic website at http://www.ikhwanonline.com/Default.asp (or here in google translation):

UPDATE 2/1/11:

THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD'S "GENERAL STRATEGIC GOAL" FOR NORTH AMERICA

In July 2007, seven key leaders of an Islamic charity known as the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) went on trial for charges that they had: (a) provided "material support and resources" to a foreign terrorist organization (namely Hamas); (b) engaged in money laundering; and (c) breached the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which prohibits transactions that threaten American national security. Along with the seven named defendants, the U.S. government released a list of approximately 300 "unindicted co-conspirators" and "joint venturers." During the course of the HLF trial, many incriminating documents were entered into evidence. Perhaps the most significant of these was "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America," by the Muslim Brotherhood operative Mohamed Akram. Read more...
English translation of Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America begins on Page 16
One: The Memorandum is derived from:
1 - The general strategic goal of the Group in America which was approved by the Shura Council
and the Organizational Conference for the year [I9871 is "Enablement of Islam in North
America, meaning: establishing an effective and a stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim
Brotherhood which adopts Muslims' causes domestically and globally, and which works to
expand the observant Muslim base, aims at unifying and directing Muslims' efforts, presents
Islam as a civilization alternative, and supports the global Islamic State wherever it is".

  1. The Muslim Brotherhood, like its sister organization, Al Qaeda is an enemy of the Republic and of the American people. They should be treated that way in all of their permutations and forms.

Tolerance has no place in this sort of situation. Intolerance should reign.

It's too bad that the state-controlled media does not report the truth. They are playing down the Muslim Brotherhood and their radicalism. Gateway Pundit reported today that Obama is open to Islamists having a role in the new Egyptian government. This is outrageous.

  3. I think any group like this could just go so far before getting a bunch of "Good ol boys" dander up.

Unfortunately, the person whose dander they should be "getting up" thinks they should be part of the Egyptian government. That should tell us something!

  5. Great post TCL. Very comprehensive, and thanks for the link to the English and Arabic websites. I heard Beck talk about that today.

I see the MB as the grandfather of our modern day jihad, but of course they go back much farther than that.

They perfectly show how Muhammed's koranic admonitions allow deception. Without deception, they could not impose themselves in the Muslim mainstream, if there is such a thing - and the press would have to report who they really are.

I am reading Robert Spencer's Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and he offers all the proof, and the suras, of what the plan is for the world.

Thanks. Seems like the MB and the Leftists in our country follow the same plan. Deception about who and what they really are in order to be accepted into the mainstream. Thank goodness at least some of us are on to them.
