Breaking News:
The Congressional Budget Office, in an email to Capitol Hill staffers obtained by the Spectator, has said that repealing the national health care law would reduce net spending by $540 billion in the ten year period from 2012 through 2021. That number represents the cost of the new provisions, minus Medicare cuts. Repealing the bill would also eliminate $770 billion in taxes. It's the tax hikes in the health care law (along with the Medicare cuts) which accounts for the $230 billion in deficit reduction.

  1. This is good news! Obama is going to veto it but then he puts his stamp on Obamacare and owns it all by himself. And, the American people will remember what Obama did in 2012. Hopefully sometime this year the Supreme Court will rule that Obamacare is unconstitutional.

  2. The law needs to be repealed.

This falls under the category of them not treading on us.

Question is...once the House gets the repeal bill passed, will the Senate do likewise? Obama may not get the chance to veto it. I just hope the House continues to push for a repeal while de-funding every part of it they can. And you never know, the Supreme Court may come through.

  4. Target those RINOs in 2012 if they don't come around!

  5. Great News! Thanks for the great charts and such.
I think this will go thru, and hopefully that twit bo won't veto it, but I won't hold my breath on that.

  6. Hi Bunni:
I hope the Republican House keeps pushing this legislation every week if they have to. The Senate will be a hard obstacle to overcome, and if by some miracle they pass it too, Obama will definitely veto it. But by the grace of God, 2012 will bring us a new President and the end of ObamaCare. I sincerely hope the GOP is serious in their claims to do everything possible to stop this terrible ObamaCare bill...de-fund, repeal, hinder it in any way possible before it comes into full effect. There is always the Supreme Court that may come to the rescue, who knows?

  7. If Obama REALLY desires reelection, he'll veto the bill. That would bring enough sheeple around to think he's moved to the center. However, the man has a bigger ego than all the other presidents we've had combined. I doubt he'll even consider vetoing his top legislative priority

There is no way Obama would ever veto ObamaCare. The progressives have been waiting for this power grab for many, many years and there's no way Obama will turn it around. Remember he said he didn't care if he was a one term president? I'm sure he'd like another 4 years in office to continue destroying America, but ObamaCare is here to stay as far as he's concerned, even at the risk of losing an election.

  9. Oh, I'm aware of that, believe me. I must be listening to too many pundits telling me that he might. Starting to bore its way in...

That's understandable. Even some of the more right leaning pundits give Obama more credit than he deserves. He may look like he is going to the center, but his socialist agenda is going to be accomplished through his czars. They'll do it without having to go through Congress. It's an illusion.

  11. TCL: Or he'll use the EPA, as he's trying to do with C&T
