Hillary is Obama...Obama is Hillary

I found an opinion article in the Wall St. Journal Online written by Pete DuPont.  It's entitled:

Hillary Clinton for President
The secretary of state could mount a formidable challenge to Obama.
Excerpt:
...Add together all these increases in government regulation, spending and taxes and a dim employment outlook, and the result is a dramatic national decline in support of the White House, Congress and their administration of our national policies.
So what can be done to change America's policies and make our economy stronger? For one thing, we could elect a president with different thinking. Almost any Republican candidate would have that, and, as we will see in a moment, there is one obvious Democrat who would change our course too.
And why would the Democratic Party want to do that? Because the re-election of President Obama is becoming more problematic...

Mr. DuPont lays out 6 factors "...that suggest she (Hillary Clinton) might have a chance of defeating President Obama if she were to challenge him for the 2012 Democratic nomination".
  • The conclusion one hears from most "normal" American people is that the president "is in over his head, and out of his depth
  • Hillary is physically and intellectually strong enough to take on a difficult campaign
  • Hillary is one of the most experienced prospective candidates the Democratic Party has had in a long while
  • Hillary is an experienced foreign-policy adviser
  • Experience will be even more important to voters in the 2012 presidential election
  • If Mrs. Clinton made the case that America must get rid of the huge debt the current administration has created, must create much better economic growth with lower tax rates, and must strongly assist employer job creation, she would appeal to a broad voter coalition.
This may all be true, and Hillary could very well beat Obama in a presidential primary.   But Americans must remember that Hillary Clinton is Barack Obama in a pants suit.  I disagree with Mr. DuPont in his assessment that Hillary Clinton has "different thinking" than Barack Obama. She, along with Obama, share the philosophy of Saul Alinsky.  Both are Progressives and their ultimate goal is the same...to "fundamentally change" America.

We can not afford to make another mistake in 2012.

  1. Hi TCL. I agree with you, they are both the same, Hillary just hides it better. I hope people don't get duped in their eagnerness to dump obummer.

  2. Hi Bunni:
Some people think Obama stole the election from Hillary anyway, so I'm sure they would be happy to put her up against him again if they thought he couldn't win in 2012.

  3. I had said all along that I would take Hillary over Obama anyday if that were my only choice.

I find it unlikely that she will run. Although her husband is making a great deal of headlines of late.

  4. Billary will be challenging Hussein in his vie for a 2nd term just the same as Satans' minion Teddy did for Carters.

We will need a 'Reagan on steroids' like a Gov. Christie this time around.

  5. God help us. She may be slightly less radical, but she's equally progressive.

I'm not sure Hillary would run against Obama as a "sitting president" unless the Dem Party decided they didn't think Obama could win and Obama insisted on running for a 2nd term. But if Obama decides not to run for a 2nd term (fat chance), then I think Hillary will run. The Clintons loved being in the WH and I think they would do just about anything to get it back.
As for Hillary being a better president than Obama...I hope we never have to find out.

    Time will tell about Billary.
It will be interesting to see who the GOP runs for President because, if they make a mistake and run someone like McCain again, they're cooked.

Hillary is just another progressive radical. There are far too many of them running the show and we need to get rid of them in these upcoming elections. The damage being done is going to take a very long time to undo (if ever).

  9. Obama has surrounded himself with progressive radicals and many of them are appointed (czars), not elected. We don't have a chance of getting them out unless we get rid Obama in 2012. Hillary will surround herself with the same ilk. The executive branch is continually taking power away from legislative branch, which means no matter who we have in Congress, Obama/Hillary can trump them whenever there is a disagreement. This must end. We must win in 2012.

  10. I think Hillary has been close to the Obamas in order to undercut them. Her announcement of the lawsuit against Arizona, and some of her former campaign people making that voter fraud documentary are all part of that line of thinking. I think she's trying to chip away at Obama's administration from the inside.

She's just as much of a socialist as Obama. She'll play dirty, and do what it takes to win. Obama has the Chicago style thuggery. Hillary has the southern dirty tricks. We'll see which wins round 2.

  11. I suspect this is where we and the Hillbuzz bloggers (Hillary Buzz) will part ways.

But no hard feelings. They have acquitted themselves well. And we will not agree on everything.

You're right. Never underestimate the Clintons. They are out for themselves.

  13. Hi Opie:
Well, they (Hillbuzz) seem to be big Sarah Palin fans now. About the only thing similar between Sarah & Hillary is that they are both women. It will be interesting to see who gets Hillbuzz'z support if both Hillary and Sarah wind up being the presidential nominees.

  14. No doubt Hillary would be a mess, but I do think it would be an improvement.

  15. Hi Trestin:
There would be a difference with Hillary because the Chicago thugs wouldn't be involved, and the fact that she's older and maybe more experienced having been around the WH before, but her agenda would be on the same track as Obama's. Her tactics to get there might be a little different, but the goal is the same.

  16. @Christopher

Chris Christie is the man who could turn this country around. He knows how to SHRINK gov't. He doesn't just TALK about shrinking gov't. He doesn't just fantasize about SLOWING the growth of government...he's out there getting the job done!

  17. RK:
I heard Christie say that he is not interested in running for President (but that could always change). He certainly has the right attitude about dealing with the loud mouths in NJ and standing up for what he believes will solve NJ's problems.

  18. Hillary is definitely a progessive but I think more practical and less radical then Obama. She would have basically the same agenda as Obama though. The GOP needs to nominate a conservative instead of a RINO like they did in the last election. WE need to provide a stark contrast between the two candidates instead of presenting voters with a choice between HUGE government and big government.

  19. Hi Teresa:
You said...WE need to provide a stark contrast between the two candidates instead of presenting voters with a choice between HUGE government and big government.

And you are absolutely correct. The question is WHO will the GOP choose???
