Obama To Announce His Plan To Pass ObamaCare…With or Without The GOP

Video Via:  Patriot Room

This video was shown at the Senate Republican’s weekly policy lunch.  It shows highlights of last week’s health care summit and focuses on the GOP ideas and the reaction from the media.  I was happy to see that the GOP did a great job, even though it will probably be for naught.

According to Jack Tapper, ABC News, the President will announce his plan to pass the health care bill today:

The president will outline the plan to pass the bill, including having the House of Representatives pass the Democratic Senate health care reform legislation as well as a second bill containing various “fixes.”

This one will incorporate some Republican ideas.  Nice of him to throw the GOP a few bones, but chances are his new bill will do little to cut costs.  I hope the Republicans will remain steadfast in their fight against ObamaCare.   Even if Obama passes a smaller bill through reconciliation , it will just open the door for bigger government control of our lives in the future.

Here is Senator Tom Coburn’s letter (dated March 2, 2010) to President Obama on the issue.
