My Thoughts For Today

I've been thinking about the town hall meetings and the so-called "mobs" of people voicing their displeasure with Obamacare and other policies Obama is putting forth, e.g., cap & trade, bailouts, taxes, taxes, and more taxes.

If the Republicans ever had an epiphany, this should be it. All the mealy-mouthed RINOs and mushy-moderate Republicans should take a hard look at what is right before their eyes. The people are giving them a BIG kick-in-the-ass and they had better take heed.

The people of America want their country back. They see it slipping away. Fear of the government taking over their lives is forcing people, who would never have thought to pick up a sign and protest, to do just that. They are writing letters and making phone calls to their congressmen telling them how they feel and demanding to be listened to. Frustration and helplessness are blooming into anger and activism. The times of feeling helpless and hopeless are over for us conservatives and all people who see their freedom and liberty at stake. The complacency is ending.

It's time for the Republican Party to take the elephant by the tusks and give us a choice. It's time to stop trying to keep up with the Democrats by acting just like them and get back to their conservative values and ethics. It's here for their taking and there is no excuse this time.

The days of liberal RINOs and wishy-washy Repub-moderates are numbered if they don't wise up. Bi-partisanship means THEY give in to the liberals; they always do. It has to stop now or they will pay the price at the polls.

I do not believe a third party is the answer. Whenever it's been tried, it only serves to split the vote and hand the victory over to the other team. Republicans, Libertarians and other conservative parties must unite and put forth the best of the bunch. Put aside the small disagreements between the parties and join together in combat against the socialization of America. I believe the majority of the American people will back you 100%.

Sorry to say they are both the same party. The only answer is term limits....

I know there is not much difference between the parties as they are, but that's my point. We need a choice and the Republicans have not given us one. We have to vote out the RINOS and moderates and elect good people in their place. I agree with you...term limits are called for, as these guys make a career out of it. The Founders never meant it to be that way. Maybe someday term limits will be enforced on Congress, but until then it's up to us to make informed decisions before entering a voting booth. Your point is well taken and thanks for commenting.
